about

I walk these halls by bone-light, marrow smoldering bright; moribund cinders twine around each sconce in flickering wreaths. The catacombs breathe, stone swells beneath my feet as I trail fingers through dust in the aristo suite.

Could you believe, while you sleep, that these walls once made sound?

These corridors beyond your chamber wound above the dead, in ossuaries bound. What shadows flee from trick of eye, what spectral chords old keys do cry throughout the night in memory of what once was, will never be.

Could you believe, as you wake, that these ghosts once thrived?

Phantom wisps once flesh, alive; muscles taut and parched, revived. The clangor midst your restless lay, once music to a grand soirée of visitants in costumes, black—keen knives behind their fickle backs.

Could you believe, as you scream, that this crypt I once roamed?

Dim studies filled with arcane tomes, lit wick and flame to ’feat the gloam, lined parchment strewn across the room of harrowed notes fit for a tomb. In life, death was a holiday; in death, for life is what I pray.

I walk these halls by candlelight, wax smoldering bright; moribund cinders twined around each sconce in flickering wreaths. The catacombs sleep, stone sound beneath my feet, as I tap pen to page in the aristo suite.

Could you believe, as you flee, that this haunt was once home?
